With all of the white and silver homecoming dresses that we’ve been posting I thought we should add a little bit of gold and pink to the mix! I put this look together based on a dress I found on Etsy, but it would work with any predominantly gold dress. Or a black dress. Or a white dress.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match your colors! While they’re not often paired together, pink and gold look great together. I think the pink adds a great splash of color and makes this otherwise gold look a little more playful.
Here’s what I used to put this pink and gold homecoming look together:
Gold Sequin Homecoming Dress // David Aubrey Spiked Bib Necklace // Steve Madden Madame Pumps // Pink Nora Clutch // Gorgeous Cosmetics Lipstick // OPI I Think in Pink Nail Polish
This Mori Lee dress might be one of my favorites that I’ve seen this homecoming season. The color and the cut are just beautiful!
This unique homecoming dress is a gorgeous mint color. The tulle skirt will flare out perfectly on the dance floor, and the sweetheart bodice is covered in an amazing amount of sparkle the extends down onto the skirt of the dress.
Like many of the homecoming dresses we’ve highlighted this season, we would pair this dress with silver jewelry and silver shoes.
This mint homecoming dress is Mori Lee Style 9240.
We’re guessing most of you won’t be spending $5,000+ on your prom dresses this year, but if you are, Kiernan Shipka’s 2013 Emmy Dress will be available for purchase later this winter!
We loved Kiernan’s fun floral dress — it’s definitely a showstopper! We love how Kiernan left the jewelry at home and is wearing simple shoes. This colorful dress doesn’t need any extra embellishment!
This Floral Embroidered Bodice Gown is from Spanish design house Delpozo. It is currently available for pre-order from Moda Operandi for $5,200. Delivery is scheduled for sometime between January 15–April 30, 2014.
What’s not to love about this princess peach homecoming dress that we found at ModCloth? It has everything a girl could want in a homecoming dress. It has a pretty sweetheart bodice, a metallic lace overlay, and a rhinestone waistband. It’s tight up top, which will give you definition, but the loose skirt will look great on the dance floor.
Plaid is popular this fall, and as such there are tons of plaid dresses at the stores. This makes us wonder: Would you ever wear a plaid homecoming dress? It’s definitely not traditional – or boring – so would you be brave enough to go with a brightly patterned homecoming dress?
